The very first legends for a proper tool storage system
was designed by us for the GM-OPEL network of garages.
Especially in the case of large tool sets of complex structure the legend is the VERY
organizational aid with the greatest efficiency.
It reduces the pre-set standard times for the search of tools and tool storage
to about 20 % !
The tools, with or without names, the tool group, the tool class, the exact storage
place, and the associated holding elements arranged by ascending tool numbers. The head
of the legend may be replaced by an alternative foreign-language text without problems.
The legend must always be updated together with the classification sheets.
If tool storage systems are organized with classified small adhesive labels, the
tool pictures cannot be easily identified from a little further away.
Without differentiating legend the above-mentioned standard times allowed
for searching are even exceeded.
